Barchester's procurement team have a rare opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our established Warrington office. This varied role will include the oversight of procurement activity for corporate and operational functions across the business. With a rapidly expanding portfolio of care homes and hospitals across the UK, this role is key to ensuring the delivery of multiple services within budget to more than 250 sites across the country.This is a permanent, hybrid position.

Required experience and qualifications:• Educated to CIPS level 5• Excellent negotiation ability• Previous team management experience• Ability to influence senior management and stakeholders• Minimum of 5 years' procurement experience in major UK or international company• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel on a monthly basis
Role and responsibilities:• Deliver commercial opportunities across a wide range of spend categories• Ensure service delivery to 250 care homes and hospitals is optimized against SLAs• Mentor, appraise, and manage all members of the procurement team• Drive value and savings during tender process• Performance manage outsourced procurement services• Undertake due diligence for supply chain risk, compliance, and information security• Contract formulation and management• Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude• Demonstrate discretion when handling confidential information• Identify and participate in networking opportunities
