My client, a progressive public sector organisation, are looking to recruit into a newly created post for a Procurement Analyst. This vacancy is part of their 4 year commercial strategy and will play a large part in the roll out of the new Procurement Bill.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing data from finance / e-tendering systems, which will be presented to stakeholders to provide visibility across areas such as on / off contract spend, category spend data, budget holder identification etc.
My client is looking for candidates who have either worked in a Procurement Analyst position already, or are looking for an opportunity to move into a Procurement environment from a similarly analytical role.
Candidates will ideally bring the following experience:-
Excellent MS Excel skills (pivot tables / macros etc), experience of finance and e-procurement systems would be beneficial Ability to research and analyse procurement category related data to identify trends, performance, risks, opportunities, etc. Great stakeholder engagement / presentation skills (powerpoint)
