We have an exciting opportunity available for a Quality & Process Engineer based close to the Lutterworth area. The position is working with an internationally respected manufacturer who have multiple sites across the UK.
The Quality & Process Engineer will be responsible for the quality and culture of continuous operational improvement throughout the site by working closely with the site management team, utilising various tools and techniques to make improvements across all areas of the facility.
This role is a key interface between all of the site's operational teams to ensure a consistent approach and achievement of Quality, Process and CI targets. The main purpose of this role is to drive quality and maximise plant efficiency by creating processes and procedures that all site personnel adhere to in delivering high quality products to the end user.

Main Responsibilities of Quality & Process Engineer
Responsible for Quality and Process at plant levelEnsure Group and National requirements incorporated in local standards and proceduresResponsible to manage plant quality testingLeading and developing all manufacturing improvement activities across the site including the integration of engineering changes to the manufacturing processes Ensure appropriate resources and time are available for the application of a systematic approach to 'Improvement workshops and Kaizen events including reviewing and creating of SOP's.Audit weekly and monitor plant operational efficiency and reliability identifying areas of underperformance including investigation of customer complaints to effectively implement plans to deliver operational improvementsChange management process lead to ensure that a uniform approach to continuous improvement is implemented across shifts and compliance to change requirements (RCN)Measurement and reporting on initiatives implementedMentoring/coaching of leadership team in process/lean tools and systematic problem solvingOffer technical support to the manufacturing processes and control systemsDevelop processes from initial conception through to full production modellingSupport and training of factory production control including definition and training of all quality documentation, procedures and testing (quality plan, nonconformities, incoming materials, finished goods)Manage the review and posting of supplier certificate of conformitiesManage their view, investigation and release of production ordersResponsible for test facilities within the plantSupport the review, change and creation of material data within SAP, Mii, NWBC - including BOM, routings, inspection plans, reference operation sets, inspection lots, storage locations, plant hierarchy, including checking and scrapping of stock.KPI reporting to Group QualityTraining and competency checks with operatorsAnalysis of complaints and claims/quality incident follow up within the plant including implementing effective countermeasuresResponsible for CE marking and DoP declared performance of plant products
Essential Skills and Experience of Quality & Process Engineer
Graduate calibre with broad experience of manufacturing operations/background in CIAbility to analyse data to find root causeKnowledge of regulation and norms relating to group, country and products of plant including audit requirements eg, ISOGood understanding of 5S Lean/6 Sigma tools
