The purpose of this chemical Process Engineer role is to provide technical support, coordinate and improve the maintenance of the energy sites processing systems, efficiently and safely to UK standards and design new process and mechanical systems including the development of hydrogen processing systems. My client has significant investment and is passionately working towards achieving a neutral carbon balance through alternative energy production. The ideal process engineer will have the following skills and experiences;
Good process engineering, process design engineering, chemical electrical engineering experience, process machinery plant design experience, energy engineering experienceA background in hydrocarbon operations and development would be desirableHands on onsite experience, UK plant operational experience–you must have good experience in conceptual, FEED and detailed design projectsDegree level engineering qualifications in process Design, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar field and working towards chartershipUK process engineering experience and good understanding of UK regulations, legal requirementsProcess design, process engineering experience within the chemical, oil and gas, petrochemical, COMAH sites, energy, high risk pressure valves industries or similarGood CAD experience, ability to read, interpret and update engineering drawingsGood experience of HAZOPS,Experienced process engineers with hydrogen, hydrogen processing, Hydrogen process technology and hydrogen engineering experience would be of distinct interestFull driving licence and able and willing to travel to plant site daily– this is not a remote role so you must be based a commutable distance.
