Pure are delighted to be partnering with one of the major Manufacturers in the region who are seeking an experienced Process Engineer on a permanent basis. Reporting to the site Capital Programme Manager, and working within a multiskilled Project delivery team encompassing Mechanical, electrical/control and Process engineering skills, you will be responsible for development of site essential replacement, cost reduction, process safety or energy/Carbon reduction projects from design to execution and commissions, with specific focus on process engineering.You will also support site operations from a Process safety, Energy management and Process troubleshooting perspective and play a key role in Process change approval.General responsibilities will include; Design and development of process plant, equipment, and systems that they are safe and efficient in operation.Process design for production and energy reduction projects.Process system modelling and optimisation.Operations support troubleshooting.Supporting site energy management.Factory analysis, debottlenecking and bench-marking.Act as the Site process expert for the management of changeTake responsibility for updating P&ID's and asset registers.Support/lead in HAXID/HAZAN/HAZOP/LOPA coordination + drive the implementation of any recommendations coming from any HAZOP/LOPA etcCollaborate with the health and safety business partner to resolve process safety issuesOwnership of the sites Management of Change process (PPCA)Other relevant duties as requested by the site Management team. The ideal applicant will be able to interpret complex technical data and approach problem-solving in innovative ways. In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver portions of large capital projects across the entire project life cycle, including: justification, scoping, design, implementation, and commissioning.To excel in this position, it is important that you are able to engage with people positively and work effectively with different disciplines both on site and across the network. You will be someone who can adapt to change with a positive attitude and is open to trying new ways of working.Strong team and relationship building skills are essential, as well as clear communication abilities. You should also be able to work in an environment of continuous improvement, proactively identifying causes of poor reliability and progressing solutions.Additional skills, knowledge and experience required to be successful include; BEng in Chemical Engineering, Process engineering or equivalent. Previous experience of large industrial operations is desirable, but not essential. Recent graduates welcomed with a placement year previously undertaken desirable.Technical understanding of process safety and proficient in process hazard identification and risk control methods (LOPA, ALARP, HAZID, HAZOP)Chartered status a benefitWorking knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems desirable This is a full time, permanent position working mostly on a day shift pattern.
