Are you an experienced and dynamic town planner looking to take the next step in your career? Carrington West have teamed up with a leading private consultancy, who is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Principal Planner to join our team in Winchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to exciting projects while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working, with three days a week in our modern office.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Principal Planner, you will be responsible for:
Project Leadership: Lead and manage a diverse range of planning projects, ensuring successful delivery within time and budget constraints.
Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing strategic planning advice.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with our talented team of planners, architects, and environmental specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
Policy and Legislation: Stay abreast of planning policies and legislation, providing expert advice to clients and internal stakeholders.
Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the consultancy by identifying new business opportunities and participating in proposal development.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
Proven Experience: A track record of successfully managing and delivering planning projects in a consultancy environment.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex planning concepts to diverse audiences.
Client-Focused: A customer-centric approach with a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
Innovative Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to planning challenges.
Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility: Open to hybrid working, with a minimum of three days per week in our Winchester office.
