As a Principal Geo-environmental Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing our Geo-environmental services. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in contaminated land assessments, environmental risk management, and regulatory compliance.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead projects, mentor a team, and contribute to the continued success of our environmental consultancy.
Qualifications
A degree in Environmental Engineering/Sciences, Geology/Earth Sciences, or any other related field.Although an MSc in Environmental Engineering or a closely related subject would be beneficial, it is not essential.Possessing a Chartered status is desired not required; however, the expectation would be that the candidate would be working towards it, if not already achieved.Having extensive experience carrying out site investigations, assessments, planning, regulatory liaison, remediating and validating, and contract management.Responsibilities
Project management and supervision of hazardous land site characterisation.Overseeing and scheduling soil and water analysis, as well as data management and interpretation.Cost control for site investigations and cleanup is designed, programmed, and implemented.Technical authoring and reviewing of proposals and interpretive reports.Contractor monitoring and management on-site.Creation of detailed remedial verification reports.Negotiating with regulatory authorities and securing appropriate approvals.Mentoring junior employees.
