Senior or Principal Net Zero / Corporate GHG Consultant

Lewis Davey is looking to speak with both Senior and Principal consultants across net zero and corporate GHG. An opportunity to join a smart energy and sustainability team, working across local authorities, universities, masterplan developers to hotel chains, assisting them to in shaping their approach to decarbonisation and a net zero future. Lewis Davey are keen to reach professionals to lead GHG inventories for a wide range of client segments, focussed primarily within, but not limited to, the construction industry.

Role

Net zero strategy and roadmap development including alignment to relevant standards e.g., Science Based Targets.Carbon accounting, compliance, and measurement techniques and calculation methods for scopes 1-3, including an in-depth understanding of scope 3 emissions sources and how to mitigate them.Hosting stakeholder engagement workshops and working with client teams to gain a deep understanding of client business operations and identifying levers for actionEffective data management including setting up and maintaining project databases and project evidence trackersProducing high-quality reports providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams.Attending site visits to review progress against various sustainability targets.Reviewing the performance of designated projects on a monthly basis and updating the team's project tracker with progress information.Assisting in preparing bids and proposals for new work.Engaging with skills networks to exchange best practice and processes.Arrange and attend meetings, take minutes and distribute actions.Attending and contributing to team meetings.

What you'll need to succeed

Experienced project leader experience in a similar role.Ambitious, self-motivated and enthusiastic.Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.Emerging business development and sales skills.Thorough understanding of the construction industry and built environment.Ability to manage projects.Client relationship management skills.Proven track record of project delivery.

Additional attributes we are keen to hear about

Hold a relevant degree, BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) or equivalent/higher.Understanding of carbon offsetting mechanisms and carbon credit schemes.Ability to convey complex datasets and analyses in easy-to-understand infographics.Experience in developing international organisation and regional GHG inventories and roadmaps.Life-cycle cost modelling capabilities including sensitivity analysis and future scenario modelling.Capability to lead a team and develop new products in an ever-expanding market.Graphic design capabilities including the ability to use software packages such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and BlueBeam.Ability to develop digital toolkits for use internally and by clients
