Private collector has for sale a vintage Premier Model 35 alloy-shelled snare drum. made to compete head-to-head with the American Ludwig 400 and the Model 35 was launched as the first premier drum to use the International square headed tension rods.
Beaded alloy shell with the rich premier diamond chrome plating, the best in the business. Triple-flanged hoops with 10 Deco lugs. Super smooth side-throw strainer. P-badge with serial number.
Some slight blistering on the chrome. Some scratches to the shell. A small area of nickel loss from rusting on the top hoop - see image.
All in all, for a 40 year old alloy snare drum ,it's in pretty nice condition. As good as the Ludwig snare drum and with a far superior strainer.
Made at the Wigston factory in October 1980.
I also have the bigger brother Model 36 available, see my other ad
