EXTERIOR

With a mere 17k miles under its belt this gleaming 2013 Cayman presents in truly outstanding condition - it looks like new! The lustrous Sapphire Blue paintwork is quite simply stunning, and after visually inspecting the whole thing the only negative items to report are a couple of tiny stone chips on the front bumper and headlights. This cosseted example has clearly led a sheltered life and as such all of the badges, plastic trims and rubber seals still appear factory fresh.

INTERIOR

The exquisite as-new condition continues inside; it smells great and we can't find any wear in any of the usual places. The seat bolsters are completely free from any signs of use, none of the switches have any scratches or marks, and the original Porsche floor mats are immaculate. Some great interior factory options include the perfectly presented SportDesign steering wheel and the upgraded Bose Surround Sound System. This one further benefits from parking sensors front and rear for added driver convenience.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Barely run-in with only 17k miles on the clock this 2.7-litre Cayman is a real joy to drive. The mid-mounted flat-six sounds great while its PDK 'box shifts with near-seamless changes through each of the 7 gears. The car has always been maintained to the highest standards and as such remains in excellent mechanical fettle. A fresh service has just been carried out at the current mileage of 17,100 miles.

WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES

The factory-spec'd 20-inch Carrera S alloys look sensational finished in their original coat of stain platinum. Entirely unmarked throughout they're wrapped in a matching set of Pirelli PZero tyres, all with at least 6mm of tread left. The brakes have also been checked and remain in fine operational condition, bringing the car to a stop quickly and in a straight line.

HISTORY FILE

First registered in June 2013 this 981 Cayman in sublime Sapphire Blue looks and feels every bit the low mileage of 17k. The accompanying service booklet is stamped 4 times at the following mileages: 7,009 - 12,285 - 15,806 miles - and most recently at 17,101 miles.
