This fantastic post will work on evidence–based, collaborative, engaging and innovative policymaking across our Advocacy & System Change team.The role will play a key part in determining what the Society thinks about the big issues affecting people living with dementia, such as across diagnosis, research, and social care.The Policy Officer will support Policy Managers to implement a policy development strategy and be an expert policy advisor to colleagues across the Society, with a particular focus on, but not solely limited to, the policy landscape within Northern Ireland, and so a solid understanding of the political landscape within Northern Ireland is strongly preferred. About you You will be someone with a sound knowledge of the policy landscape within Northern Ireland and be ready to challenge the status quo.Proactively identify the action needed to affect change in dementia at national and local levels, particularly within Northern Ireland, but also across England and Wales.You will be looking to hone your influencing skills in many different environments and within different systems, whilst engaging with stakeholders of varying levels of seniority.You will show excellent attention to detail, and enjoy producing and presenting high quality, innovative content. You will be a team player and ready to build consistency and understanding around our policymaking, while working on shared influencing priorities alongside others in the Advocacy & System Change team.
