Position: Play Leader (Primary Department)
Job Description: As a Play Leader in our Primary Department, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and engaging play environment for our students. We are seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about children's well–being and can contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of our school.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation for Play:
Set up play resources and space in a manner suitable for the age and abilities of the children.Prepare and organize play activities that align with the developmental needs of the children. Child Protection and Compliance:
Adhere to Child Protection procedures and communicate any concerns promptly to the Designated Safeguarding Leader.Familiarize yourself with and implement the school's policies on Accidents, Behaviour, Play, Health and Safety, Inclusion, Employment, and Complaints into daily practice. Communication and Reporting:
Provide feedback or reports to the Play Coordinator as requested or when necessary.Attend all relevant training and meetings as required for the role, in consultation with the Headteacher. Professionalism:
Be approachable and accessible to all pupils, maintaining professional interactions that focus on the child's needs. Play Facilitation:
Support and facilitate enriching play experiences for the children.Play with the children when invited and when appropriate, fostering positive relationships. Play Activity Development:
Devise and deliver play activities tailored to the age and individual needs of children.Reflect and maintain adherence to the Playwork Principles in activity planning and implementation. Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.Understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to engage with children in a positive and constructive manner.
