My client, a very successful specialist and niche Manufacturing company based in Stoke–On–Trent, is looking to recruit a Plant/Production Manager for a long–term permanent career opportunity.

This business is approaching GBP15 million turnover with approx. 50 staff and a few years ago went through a successful MBO. The Directors are extremely passionate about the company and have a strong vision for robust growth over the next few years and would like a similarly passionate and dynamic person to come on this journey with them.

Job Role:

Assessing bottlenecks and resolving quickly.Balancing capacity and capability with the requirements of the business.Managing and developing the teams and asserting wider influence to drive best practice (oversight of project management, supplier development, logistics, etc).Watching and checking output, quality and ability of the teams and taking ownership of its continuous improvement.Seizing opportunities for continuous improvement on everything all the time.Immediate and long–term resolution of failures/problems in line with our procedures. Fostering excellent stakeholder relationships, can–do, positive, solutions based outlook.Ability to operate at senior management level.Ability to lead by example, empowering individuals and flexing approach depending on the requirements at the time.
