Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm & Friday; 8am - 1.00pm

Established over 75 years ago, our client who is a leading global design & manufacturer of electric motors for a multitude of industrial applications.

They have recently moved to a new multi-million pound purpose-built 160,000 square foot unit where it meets their current demands but also future proofing them for further growth and development and with that are recruiting now for a Planner to join their Team.

Within this role you will be responsible for;

Regular monitoring and maintenance of the ERP system to ensure optimum effectiveness and efficiency.Manage the Customer Order review process, ensuring material, labour & machine availability to meet customer demandsAnalysis of system/process performance and recommendation of improvement strategies, using system settings to optimise all operational planning functions.Using ad hoc system problem solving as a driver to make changes to improve system performanceSupporting implementation of strategy changes to improve OTIF to agreed targets and minimise/eradicate past-dueSupporting provision of business information and data tools for operational use.Supporting improvement projects with peers: schedulers/buyers, logistics, productionInput into site SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) processSupport the development and deployment of the MRP/ERP Forecast Module, ensuring the flow-down of the Sales Plan to Material PlansParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives applying lean principlesInput in site cost down activities to meet site targetsLead/support improvement of data to facilitate the improvement & implementation of capacity planning toolsPerform frequent batch size reviews ensuring we are operating efficiently and economically The successful applicant will possess;

Experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environmentKnowledge of standard supply chain systems: SIOP, VMI, KanbanStrong analytical skillsStrong ability to provide innovative solutions to problemsSignificant experience in one or more of the following: supply chain management, production control, material planning, purchasing, operations schedulingExcellent communication and data analysis skillsHigh orientation towards detail and accuracy Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm & Friday; 8am - 12.30pm
