Our client is looking for experienced pipefitters to join their growing team. Do you have sound knowledge of pipefitting techniques and metallurgy? This role would be ideal for a candidate with a track record of working in pneumatic and fluid pipe systems in steel and copper and looking to enhance their skill sets and career opportunities.
The role:
Lay out, fabricator, fit and install pipework and components to form pneumatic, oil and coolant system
Ensure their locomotives are maintained to current legal, national, industry standards by completing preventative maintenance & repairs.
Carry out modifications, maintenance, repair and overhaul activities on the brake, fuel & cooling systems.
Safely, efficiently & accurately operate a variety of hand-held tool and power tools such as pipe benders, threaders
Assist with fault-finding and pneumatic expertise when required
Skills required:
Strong work ethics, a thorough and pro-active approach to task completion and the ability to work to a high specification are key to be successful in the role. You will also need to demonstrate excellent inter-personal skills and an appetite to learn new skills and progress the company forward. You will bring an in-depth understanding of pneumatic and fluid pipe systems and manual pipe working techniques and see problems as a challenge.
Qualifications required:
• Level 2 or 3 Pipefitting qualification and/or Apprenticeship
• Solid understanding of steel and copper pipe work principles
• Silver solder experience
• Welding qualifications & Rail experience would be a plus

(Week one) Monday to Thurs 06:00 to 14:30, Friday 06:00 to 12:00
(Week two) Monday to Thurs 14:00 to 22:30, Friday 11:00 to 17:00
