This is a particularly high quality Pewter thimble, made by Academy Pewter. The pewter thimble is smooth, with diamond-cut daisies up the sides. It is then enamelled in deep green, with the daisies picked out in gold. The base rim and the ruched top are also gold. On the top of the thimble is a trotting pewter pony, unpainted. The maker's mark is on his side (see second photo). The whole thing stands just over 4½ cms tall at the highest point.

The Thimble was purchased new, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is unused, unmarked and in pristine condition - look at my photos. This is a really beautiful item.
