Key responsibilities of the Personal Injury (PI) Claims Handler role include:
Manage your own caseload of Claims, handling all aspects of validating, investigating and negotiating third party PI claimsClearly explain decisions on liability and negotiating settlement as economically and efficiently as possibleEvaluate quantum by gathering relevant evidence, adjusting reserves in accordance with company reserving processesLiaising with internal and external partners at all levelsEnsure Customers are kept up to date with the progression of their claim To be a successful PI Claims Handler you will demonstrate:
Existing Motor Claims experience which has involved settlement delivery options Sound understanding of the Industry, including MOJ processes, the pre-action protocol and litigation proceduresAbility to assess claims based on economics and with the best interests of the business in mindStrong negotiation skills and able to challenge where appropriateAbility to spot and deal with potentially spurious claims Strong attention to detail and natural problem-solving abilities This is a hybrid role which will allow you the flexibility of working in the office and at home.
