I am a young man living in central bath looking for a long term self employed support worker to help me access the community 1-2 days a week, past positions have been Monday/Thursday 12-5pm.
Times and days can be flexible but reliability and punctuality are essential. Time off for holidays can be agreed but short notice or long holidays are difficult for me as this role is to support my every day living needs.
I’m looking for someone who enjoys being outside and is able to work in all weathers. I like going to garden centres, National Trust locations and taking my cat on walks. I enjoy photography, growing plants and travelling.
This job role 50% of the time involves helping with daily essentials like going grocery shopping.
I need good conversation, someone who is broad minded and not judgemental. Must be patient, understanding and kind with an awareness of mental health/autism. You will be asked to push me to grow while supporting the areas I still need help with, these involve: communicating with strangers in stores, going outside alone, going into stores and all round gaining more independence.
I pay £15 per hour. You must have a car. There is a mileage allowance of 40p per mile.
You must have a current DBS certificate and be able to provide me with a UTR to show you are registered with HMRC. I will need a monthly invoice from you and bank details to pay wages directly into an account.
Experience of being in a support role preferred but not essential.
Please send me a copy of your CV although work history isn’t as important as someone I can get on with and trust and feel comfortable with.
If you have any questions please ask.
An informal interview will take place at an agreed time and place, there may be someone with me.
