Description of role: - 1-1 overnight support for a 22 year-old woman who is fully blind, mainly non-verbal, cognitively disabled and has Autism. Shifts will be at least two weekends a month, preferably Saturday 1pm, till Monday 1pm, or Friday 5pm till Sunday 5pm. See below thanks. Please note this is not a live in situation/Independent Living, the young adult lives at home with her parents.

The supported person has a good sense of humour, enjoys swimming and musical films are her favourite. She has a naturally calm nature and loves being outdoors. The role will include 1-1 support and personal care, due to this a female PA is required. Assistance with her medication and personal care and dietary needs – all liquidised

Essential

• Disclosure or PVG

• At least two reference requests

• Drivers license as well as their own car, individual does not own a mobility car

• 1-1 Supervision and support

• Good communicator

• Someone who can arrange day to day activities on their shifts

- Supported Individual does not have any groups etc, mainly as she is blind and autistic. At present she is supported by an agency for support in the Community, however she has some memberships for activities that can be used.

Hours of work: 2 weekends per month preferably Saturday 1pm, till Monday 1pm or Fridays 5pm – Sundays 5pm.

Rate of pay: £12 per hour, overnight fee remains £12 per hr, contract is Zero hrs, however you will be entitled to holiday pay per month over 12 months, which will be in align with HMRC – 5.6 weeks x average agreed hrs worked per week.

Mileage is paid £0.45 per mile
