Summary
I am a 24-year-old woman looking for a personal assistant to support me with daily house household tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and cooking, grocery shopping and support with running errands.
I work weekdays and I am currently in the process of changing jobs, so am unsure whether I will be working from the office or home. I will need someone flexible with their timings and able to come in during the day and after my work hours.

Description
Typical duties
Domestic -
Laundry: Washing, drying, ironing and putting away
Changing bed linen/ bed making
General cleaning and tidying
Taking out rubbish
Minor household maintenance eg changing light bulbs, taking down curtains for washing
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
Shopping
Maintenance of small garden
Making phone calls on my behalf when I am too unwell to do this
Making tea for the employer's guests
Personal Care:
Towelling dry/ drying hair
Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required
General hair care
Helping with buttons and fastenings
Assistance with medication i.e. dispensing, administering and/or prompting
Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example assisting employer to get changed at swimming pool/gym.
Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring')
Mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, assistance to eat
Physiotherapy exercises
Social:
Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities e.g. (clubs, classes, library, gym etc)
Accompanying employer to doctors/hospital appointments when required
Accompany to therapy appointments or support groups.
Accompanying when clothes-buying, including help with un/dressing and lifting clothes on/off the rails.
Occasional longer journeys
Accompanying on trips out e.g. (Cinema, pub, days out)
Accompanying on social events or meetings e.g. (Visiting family and friends, family occasions)
The above duties will involve driving the employer in the PA’s car
Whilst on duty at the employer’s home watching TV and assisting with craft activities
Lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car, pushing the employer’s manual wheelchair when out.

The successful applicant will be:
Female* due to personal care needs

Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
