Job Title: Personal Assistant

Location: St Leonards-On-Sea

Hourly rate: £11.00 per hour Mon-Fri & £12.00 per hour Sat & Sun

Hours/shifts: 10 – 16 hours a week, Weekdays and Weekends shifts available. Shifts will be 9am – 12pm and 4pm – 6pm, ability to cover sickness & holidays.

• I am a friendly, chatty lady looking for a Personal assistant to support me within my home.

• I am looking for support with my personal care needs, preparing meals/drinks, shopping & housework.

• I love looking at my fish tank, which is my pride and joy

• Non-smoker preferred or someone who is willing to refrain from smoking during work hours.

Description

Typical duties

Domestic:

Laundry, hanging out to dry,

putting away Loading and unloading the washing machine

Changing bed linen

Bed making

General cleaning Taking out rubbish General housework, including cleaning, dusting and vacuuming. Minor household maintenance eg changing light bulbs, taking down curtains for washing

Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.

Correspondence e.g. reading letters, help writing replies, form-filling, assisting with household paperwork Making phone calls on my behalf.

Making tea for the employer's guests

Personal Care:

Supervision and/or assistance with showering, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required

Assistance with applying cream General hair/skin care

Replenishing supply of pads

Assisting with Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings

Getting into bed

Assistance with medication i.e. helping to take tablets from foil/packets

Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, such as administering eye drops, Mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, assistance to eat

Social:

• Ordering Shopping

• Accompanying employer to doctors/hospital appointments when required

• Whilst on duty at the employer’s home watching TV and assisting with artwork activities.

The successful applicant will be:

Female * due to personal care needs

Reliable with good time-keeping

Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative

Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised

Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills

Honest and cheerful

Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard

Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom

Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
