Hours/shifts: Bank hours to cover for holidays and sickness.
Summary
Hello, my name is Sam, I am a young man who enjoys watching sports such as football, tennis, and cricket. As a wheelchair user I have a keen interest in improving accessibility for disabled people in society, my latest agenda has been to improve wheelchair access on the railway services. I am in the process of starting my own podcast and hope for it to be successful in helping other people. I also enjoy trips to the theatre, especially comedy and murder mystery shows, as well as bowling and going to the beach. I’m looking for some personal assistants to help me with my morning routine and support with physiotherapy exercises.
Other Requirements
• Must be comfortable with pets
• Non-smoker preferred or someone who is willing to refrain from smoking during work hours.
• Must have a UK driving licence
• Must have access to own vehicle

Description
Typical duties
Personal Care:
Supervision and/or assistance with washing and bathing/showering – towelling dry/ drying hair
Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required.
General hair/skin care
Using the toilet
Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
Transferring with use of a hoist
Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example assisting employer to get changed.
Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring')
Support with physiotherapy exercises
Social:
Occasionally take me out and about in the community, driving me in my Motability vehicle.

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
