Job Description

Summary

I am a friendly, affectionate and loveable 8-year-old boy who needs someone to help me live my life to the fullest. I love swimming, going to the park and soft play – and anything active as I have lots of energy! One of my favourite things to do is to go to the station and watch the trains from the platform.

I need someone who will share my excitement of the things I love to help me explore the community in the school holidays.

I am a wheelchair user in busy places but do prefer to walk when it’s safe for me to do so. In busy places and with transitions I can find things stressful so someone who can provide me with emotional support if needed.

I am very chatty but often repeat myself, so it will be helpful if you have a lot of patience.

I am allergic to milk but I do not understand this very well, so I will need monitoring closely around food.

Must have previous experience with SEN children

Employee Duties:

Transportation

Companionship

Dressing / undressing

Bathroom assistance and/or pad changes

Additional duties:

Mealtimes (allergy awareness, cutting up food etc.)

Lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of the car, pushing my manual wheelchair when out.

The above duties will involve driving me in your car.

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
