People & Culture Manager (12 months FTC)

South Manchester – Hybrid working

GBP45,000 – GBP50,000 per annum

Macmillan Davies are delighted to be partnering with a specialist financial services organisation to recruit a People & Culture Manager on a 12 month FTC to cover a period of maternity leave. Reporting into the People & Culture Director, this is a hands–on role with a generalist remit and you will support on the delivery of a high quality people strategy.

The company has grown over the last couple of years and this will continue over the next 12 months, due to the innovation in tech solutions. This role would be ideally suited to an individual that has worked in a similar fast growing business and that has experience of organisational change management/design. There is a focus on ensuring the positive company culture and high levels of employee engagement are maintained, during this period of growth.

There will be an opportunity to get involved in other HR projects, with D&I being a particular focus going into 2024. One of the keys to the success of this role is building relationships and partnering with the business, ensuring that business goals are met by getting the best out of people. The role touches on all aspects of HR including recruitment, payroll, L&D, employment law, policies & procedures, HR MI/reporting as well as involvement in some non–HR projects.

This role requires an individual with a strong HR Generalist background. Experience working in a smaller organisation would be advantageous – you will need to be happy to roll your sleeves up and work closely with line managers to coach and guide them when required. This will be a busy role, with multiple projects therefore you will need the ability to remain level headed and prioritise effectively. Payroll experience is an essential criteria for this role.

Salary in the region of GBP45,000–GBP50,000 per annum. Hybrid working with a couple of days per week working from home. This company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes: 8% employer pension contribution, Life Assurance 4 x salary, healthcare cash plan.

This is a 12 month FTC to commence in March 2024.
