If you re passionate about people, hoping to start your career in HR, and looking to work for an organisation that can offer you support, development and progression then this is the role for you!
We re looking for a People and Payroll Apprentice to join the People Team at Marsden Building Society. Reporting initially to the Head of People, this is an exciting opportunity for someone at the start of their career to obtain a CIPD accredited qualification while also gaining valuable HR experience within a small close-knit team.
As this is an entry level position, the successful People and Payroll Apprentice can expect to complete a lot of administrative tasks. The role will include filing, scanning, sorting, and maintaining documents for the whole range of People processes. The successful candidate will need to have excellent organisational skills, and be detail orientated, with an understanding of how important it is to ensure employee records are maintained confidentially and appropriately.
The role is an apprenticeship so the successful candidate can expect to have a portion of their working week dedicated to studying. The apprenticeship qualification you will be working towards is a Level 3 CIPD qualification in Human Resources, likely delivered by BPP via remote learning channels. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a passion for learning and development, as well as highlighting that they re highly self-motivated and organised to support their studying. The only qualification requirements for this role and course are GCSEs at grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
We have tons of exciting things planned for the People Team at Marsden Building Society, and the People and Payroll Apprentice will have the opportunity to work with colleagues from all areas accross the organisation. They will need to show an enthusiasm for working with people and demonstrate curiosity, always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.
As the People and Payroll Apprentice grows in experience and qualification levels, there may be opportunities to progress to a Level 5 CIPD qualification in the future.
So, what s in it for you?
