Job Description:
We are looking for a caring, fun, active and reliable candidate with a good sense of humour who is looking for a fulfilling role where they can really make a difference to a young adults life.
The role is for a PBA or ABA practitioner working in a private placement supporting a 19 year told autistic, non-verbal male In his own residential setting. There are great facilities including a swimming pool and extensive grounds available for fun activities. There is some additional lone working shifts but lots of shifts are 2:1, teaming up with other team members to go out on outings and into the community. We already have an awesome team you would be joining, who are very lovely and supportive and would welcome you as part of the family unit.
Full training with client provided with extensive shadowing sessions with established support workers before doing any solo shifts.
We can also offer additional training if desired as we are keen to help with career development in this field, such as Positive Behaviour Support training or Registered Behaviour Technician training with Behaviour Analyst Certificate board accreditation or NVQ’s in Health and Social Care.
Full time role:
Candidates need to be fit and healthy and keen to participate and organise fun, appropriate activities and outings to help fill the ‘out of school’ hours, helping the client participate in community trips, attend specialist provisions and developing self-help skills.
Hours can be flexible but average 40 years per week for a full time position. Night time shifts, of which it is normally only one a week, are 13 hours and are paid as waking nights even if you are able to sleep (i.e. if the client is sleeping which is often the case but, of course, not guaranteed).
These hours are fully negotiable with the right candidate and there will be some flexibility.
Part time role:
Hours can be as flexible as needed for the part time role as you would be working as part of our team.

Responsibilities and Duties:
The role will involve supporting around the school hours as the client attends a day service but also supporting in daytimes of school holidays. You will be helping with all aspects of the clients life including taking out for drives, picking up and dropping off at school, self-help skills, personal care, encouraging independence and helping the client have as much fun and life enrichment as possible.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Previous experience of working with kids/ adults with autism is required
Full UK driving licence required
Autism Support (1 year)
Must have the right to work in the UK
Must speak and read English to a good standard
Must always work to high levels of Health and Safety
