Our client is setting up a new Shared Services Centre and has a new and exciting opportunity to support the Payroll Manager, which includes supervising and supporting monthly and annual payroll routines.
This role will include taking on specific projects and leading their successful implementation. This will include travelling to locations within the Group and carrying out the initial scoping with stakeholders, resource planning, communication with stakeholders, task planning and execution and subsequent reporting.

Experience with multiple payroll systems desirable Experience in CIS P11D Driving Licence with own transport Specific Duties:
Process and oversee the monthly company payroll for currently 166 employees (with significant projected growth), utilising data from internal systems and forward to payroll companies with the assistance of a payroll assistant Process and oversee the company weekly payrolls including monitoring the accuracy of Time and Attendance systems and reporting internally. Processing employee expenses payments. Be a point of contact for external bodies for example HMRC and auditors. Be a point of contact for payroll related queries via phone and email and also to business managers for any queries they may have Support the administration of benefits programs, including pension schemes, benefit in kind, and employee insurance. Working alongside the operations and finance department, to identify trends and actions. Under the direction of the Payroll Manager take on leading role in bringing new payroll into the SSC (including travelling to various sites and overall responsibility to ensure successful integration of new payroll into existing SSC structures) Travel to various UL sites to conduct in person Service Level Reviews . Support the payroll manager in implementing new payroll software and processes. This will include taking on specific aspects of the project and being responsible for the end to end implementation. Support the continuous improvement of both the payroll team (including self) and the service provided to the wider business. Deputise for and cover the payroll manager in their absence Monday to Friday - Full time.
