Job Description:

Passive Safety CAE Analyst and Model Database Database Manager, HV Integrity and Quasi–Static CAE (Safety). Create Finite Element Models using a range of Pre–Processing Tools. Conduct simulation and numerical calculations for a variety of impact situations (including occupant FE models) using explicit dynamic codes (LS–DYNA).

Pre/Post Process CAE results and correlate to physical vehicle, system and component test results to ensure that the simulation results represent real system performance. Working with System Engineers, optimise designs for function, cost and weight. Write reports and regularly present results at program Safety and CAE PATs vs. program defined targets. Ensure that products comply with legal, corporate and program targets when conducting analysis. Initiate testing for model correlation data and material properties data. Support program full vehicle test phases including homologation and certification. Liaise with others to exchange information, including the use of the latest CAE techniques and methodology.

Passive Safety is a matrix organisation with Application and Core Teams. Successful candidate will report to a UK based Supervisor but may receive technical guidance and assignments from non–UK based Supervisors.Skills Required:

Some prior experience in the use of Finite Element Software, specifically for EXPLICIT analysis in LS–DYNA, is preferable (but not essential).Engineering Degree with relevant experience in Body Structural Design/Development.TeamCenter VismockUp capable.Ability to code/script highly desirable in order to streamline repetitive tasks.Other training will be provided.
