Our mum is in her 80's and has dementia, but is mobile and has no personal care needs. She benefits greatly from company, and having people around her to help with simple tasks around the house. With sympathetic support around mum is chatty and easy to get on with, but left alone she can become distressed and confused.

We don't expect you to have worked in care before or to have had any specific training, just being kind, caring and honest is all that is required and full training will be given. Family are also around or nearby, so you will always have help on hand.

We are looking for a part-time housekeeper/companion for her while we are at work, so no night or evening cover is required. Ideally we need someone who can cover 7:30-8:00am until 10:00am and also take mum to her day centre in St Ives. We also need occasional cover at weekends. 8:00am-2:00pm or 2:00pm-6pm You would be working within a small team of carers, so we have flexibility with these hours.

You will need to be a carer with previous or current experience and very good spoken english. As their house is in a small village you will need transport, but there is plenty of free parking.
