Salary: Circa £44,000 per annum

Location: Stratford, London with high-flex (working in the office 1-2 days per week). We are open to flexible working requests for home-working for the successful candidate.

As a Partnership Specialist you be responsible for the delivery of large scale, transformational partnerships. This role will have a focus on the Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK (BBF) and will establish, manage and develop the the BBF including oversight of the fund's portfolio of partners, fundraising mechanisms, operational elements and stakeholder/relationship management both internally and externally.
Working with teams across CRUK, you'll help deliver the BBF Strategy including cross-org fundraising, research funding, and health information and campaign comms. Establish new fundraising mechanisms, plan activity and grow the funds value including partners, high value events, engagement with CRUK products, comms and other opportunities.
The Partnership Specialist role is highly collaborative and will work cross-organisationally to identify and coordinate opportunities where the Bowelbabe Fund can have the greatest impact for Cancer Research UK. The role will work closely with the Bowelbabe Fund Partnership Manager alongside the Head of Partnership Management and Director of PET.
What will I be doing?
Developing and driving the BBF strategic plan and objectives as part of the wider Partnerships and CRUK growth plans
Developing operating needs of the fund including governance principals, internal processes and reporting, legal requirements, and brand/marketing/comms principals
Building and managing strong relationships with external (e.g. BBF partners and Deborah James family) and internal stakeholders to help drive the direction and purpose of the BBF
Building strong relationships with BBF partners including stewardship plans and development opportunities
Accountability for meeting in year agreed objectives and KPIs to evaluate impact and learnings.
Responsible for the monitoring of income against budget and expenditure for the Fund cross-charity
Responsible for gaining the buy in of internal stakeholders who are critical to the success of the BBF, communicating the funds impact through a matrix management framework
Working in collaboration with multiple teams across CRUK to deliver the BBF including Legal, Comms, Marketing, Brand, Online Giving Platforms, Philanthropy, New Partnerships, R&I to name a few
Working with Head of Partnerships and Director of PET to monitor the BBF effectiveness, taking learnings and best practice to inform future activity
Having oversite of the stewardship planning of the fund and its partners, including stake holder engagement and cultivation across CRUK to drive long term value
Undertaking other tasks as necessary to contribute to the Partnerships team objectives and those of Cancer Research UK

What skills are you looking for?
Significant experience of developing influential relationships with high level stakeholders (both individuals and partners)
Proven success in developing and leveraging instrumental relationships to positively influence partnerships
Proven track record in meeting and exceeding targets
Demonstrable passion for high value fundraising and Partnerships
Significant experience in handling complexity
Extensive knowledge of charity corporate partnerships and ideally knowledge and experience of charity funds or sub-brands
Relevant experience of the principals of corporate fundraising, sponsorship and marketing.
