The UK Partner Office is a dedicated function to support the PwC Partner group. The Partner Admissions team within the Partner Office is responsible for all new Partners joining the UK firm, both internal and direct admissions. The Direct Partner Admissions team leads the recruitment and admissions process for all direct entry partner hires.
The role of the Direct Partner Admissions team is to identify, recruit and integrate high quality partners who will add significant value to the partnership and swiftly become commercially successful in their role. The Partner Recruitment and Talent Intelligence team has evolved significantly in recent years, and currently delivers market leading research and intelligence, executive search, candidate experience, and recruitment and integration processes to support the direct hiring of partners into the firm across all of our Lines of Service and strategic growth areas. The team has delivered record numbers of partner level hires, while delivering significant cost savings through an increased number of direct hires and better managed supplier relationships. They have also made significant process improvements in how the firm finds, attracts, assesses and integrates partner level talent, all while keeping the candidate and stakeholder experience, and market reputation of the firm, at the core of what the team delivers.
Partner Search and Talent Intelligence Lead
This is a mid-senior level role reporting to the Head of Partner Admissions. The Search and Intelligence Lead will work closely with the Partner Recruitment Lead, and the Direct Partner Admissions Lead to coordinate and drive the strategic research, talent identification and candidate generation for partner level recruitment requirements. The Partner Search and Talent Intelligence Lead will support the Partner Recruitment Lead in coordinating and developing the research and market mapping capabilities in the team, to ensure all strategic research projects and searches for active recruitment processes are being delivered effectively across the firm. They will take a proactive approach to research, market insights, and candidate generation to both inform strategic recruitment conversations and to deliver against known partner level recruitment requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Business partnering
Build relationships with Hiring Partners and other members of firm leadership to deliver strategic recruitment focused insights through research, to inform and shape overall hiring needs, and to deliver individual searches for business agreed recruitment requirements.
Operate as a trusted partner and valued advisor, building a deep understanding of the various businesses, role requirements and desired candidate profiles.
Socialise the team's research capability and build business relationships to ensure active research is conducted on all Partner level recruitment requirements.
Research, search, and talent intelligence
Take a proactive approach to research, using the insights that have been gathered to shape the thinking of the business as it relates to partner level recruitment.
Subject to any data sensitivities, share insights from strategic market mapping work with key stakeholders in other LoS to ensure the value from the work is optimised within the firm.
Coach and develop colleagues to deepen the research skills and expertise in others.
Lead and coordinate research focused efforts across the team, supporting all lines of service with their requirements.
Lead research for partner level positions with in depth market mapping, desktop research and executive level searching, and network building capability.
Conduct hands-on research across a portfolio of requirements to generate potential candidates who would fit specific business case needs, as well as market maps to provide ongoing talent advice (e.g. succession planning and talent benchmarking).
Partner recruitment delivery
Work with hiring or sponsoring partners to define a search strategy and shape the proposition to take to market
Work with partner recruitment colleagues to proactively generate relevant direct candidates, making initial approaches to potential candidates to position the role, ascertaining interest, and determining candidate suitability for the role as defined.
Work collaboratively with Partner Office colleagues to drive a seamless candidate experience from initial market engagement throughout the recruitment process.
MI
Ensure all team capture and record data accurately for all research activities.
Leverage existing reporting and MI to deliver actionable insights back to the business
Ensure all research activity is supported by relevant documentation and reporting to communicate findings effectively to the business
Essential skills & experience
Relevant experience in tier 1 or tier 2 Executive Search firms, in-house executive recruitment function or a client facing Consulting, Market Research or Competitive Intelligence role.
Prior experience in and market knowledge in (preferred but not limited to) professional services, tax and/or legal services, private equity, financial services or the technology sector.
Proven ability to remain agile and effective in an often ambiguous environment.
Subject matter expertise, deep knowledge and proven success of proactive executive search research techniques.
Well versed with tools for finding, engaging and managing senior level talent.
Ability to effectively manage and coordinate a portfolio of projects and searches with a focus on diversity, equality and inclusion.
Digitally savvy including finding opportunities to use AI, automation and tech to enhance performance and impact
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
