An established Epsom firm of chartered accountants is seeking a strong Audit Senior Manager or Audit Director to join as a salaried partner designate. This role offers the opportunity to join their leadership development program, ensuring progression towards a partner role.
Role Overview:
The role will be 60% audit and 40% accounts based with an SME client portfolio of approximately GBP350k. The firm is a leading advisor to owner-managed businesses and is eager to recruit an entrepreneurial professional with a commercial mindset to contribute to developing their client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the delivery of audit/accounts assignments across a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs.
Lead larger and more complex assignments.
Build new revenue streams by introducing new clients and developing further streams with current clients.
Monitor profitability across the portfolio, forecasting effectively.
Coach and develop staff members, encouraging progression within the firm.
Requirements:
Mid-tier or general practice background with at least 40% current audit exposure, currently leading on audits.
ACA, ACCA qualified with at least 6 years post-qualified UK practice experience to Audit/Accounts Manager level.
Experience in managing a portfolio of OMB/SME private company audits.
Proven experience in new business development and client relationship management.
Experience in dealing with complex client issues.
Leadership experience at a management grade.
Experience in preparing budgets and monitoring actual time against budget.
