Temporary to Permanent opportunity for Part Time Production Operative

10.50 per hour with progression once permanent

We are looking for an experienced Part Time Operative for a leading global supplier of precious metals and alloys. The expectation will be to support and progress within the company with a future in precious metals. Accuracy is imperative due to the material that you will be handling, and you will be required to report to your team leader to build your experience in the management of metal processes.

The main responsibilities of Part Time Production Operative include:

" Accurately check weigh and book in material

" Assign metal to production.

" Process scrap and assign to correct locations.

" Deal with enquiries from sales

" Liaise with other areas on metal issues.

" Maintain stock control.

" Participate in stocktake.

" Machine of cast bars (milling)

" Drilling bars for assay sampling

" Take part in 5s tasks.

" XRF analyse metal and record results.

Essential skills and experience:

" Experience as a Production Operative / engineering environment

" The ability to follow specific processes and procedures accurately.

" Flexible and conscientious with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.

" Knowledge of AS400, Lansa and Infor systems an advantage

" Excel and word competent

" Ability to work with minimum supervision.

" Physically fit as some heavy lifting required.

" Excellent eye for detail
