Paralegal – Clinical Negligence
Salary: Up to GBP26,000 (depending on experience)

Role Overview:
As a Paralegal within the Clinical Negligence Department, you will manage your own caseload, covering various medical injuries throughout all stages of the claim. Your responsibilities will also include assisting solicitors, conducting research, and handling administrative tasks. The majority of the work is sourced through Legal Expense Insurers, and while client demands can be high, the right candidate, with strong client management skills, will find the work both challenging and rewarding. This role is exclusively claimant–based, with supervision and team support provided.
This position requires a presence in either the Bristol or Cardiff city centre office two days a week, with the remaining three days based from home. The successful candidate will need the ability to work from home and will be provided with a company laptop.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and run your caseload of Clinical Negligence cases with supervision and support.Communicate extensively via phone with clients, experts, defendants, and insurer clients.Advise clients on the best course of action within the law.Make informed decisions regarding quantum/liability.Effectively use the company's case management system.Screen clinical negligence claims to establish prospects at the earliest opportunity and in a proportionate manner.Participate in team meetings.Assist solicitors.Undertake research and administration tasks. Skills and Competencies Required:
Experience working within clinical negligence is essential.Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to deal sensitively with clients and professionally with experts.Ability to effectively handle occasionally demanding clients.Team player with strong written and verbal skills.Experience managing your own caseload or equivalent relevant experience. Education Required:
Law degree or equivalent experience.Advantageous to have completed the LPC (or equivalent) and to have studied the clinical negligence elective. Application:
