Petit Forestier, the European leader in refrigerated rental, are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Paint Technician to join our Warrington Lecapitaine workshop. The Commercial Vehicle Paint Technician will report into the Body Shop Manager.

To achieve high productivity and quality within Thatcham standards environment, whilst adhering to Company strategy and procedures. To provide a safe working environment and the provision of a well maintained internal vehicle fleet.
What will you be doing?
Manage individual workload and job assignment Accurately complete job sheets and quantification of time Use workshop equipment in a correct manner Fully conversant with Health and Safety requirements, COSSH and Occupational Health Ensure all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times Complete repairs and blending to the correct standard Record usage of dry goods per job Be fully conversant and competent with high build and flat back, mix and blend paints together with high solid and water borne paint including basecoat and clear applications, to include electrostatic application Correctly record the use of paint, materials and/or parts Supply own tools as specified from the Company Complete all work to a right first time standard Prepare and submit vehicles to a standard appropriate for the use intended Communicate accurately with Foreman / Manager as to Work in Progress and any anticipated delays or issues Ensure that knowledge is in line with modern technologies and developments applicable to the role Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times Paint shop management Any other ad-hoc duties as required What are we looking for?
Essential
Thatcham standards certification
Excellent knowledge of paints, materials and techniques involved in vehicle spraying
Full Driving Licence
Appropriate qualifications relating to industry standard
Excellent understanding of vehicle paints, materials and technique requirements and procedures
Effective verbal and written skills, coupled with strong decision making and problem solving skills
Planning and time management
Apprenticeship training as a vehicle painter
Extensive experience as a vehicle painter in a commercially demanding vehicle environment
City & Guilds levels 1 and 2
Desirable
Excellent knowledge of vehicle painting and preparation
Experience of training apprentices
Knowledge of Transportation and Logistics industry
Strong PC literacy
Understanding of vehicle maintenance
City & Guilds level 3
