Packing Operative NIGHTS
Shift Patterns: 7pm 7am
Salary: Starting rate of GBP11.07, increasing to GBP11.36 once full trained.
Location: 30B Optimus Wy, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8JR
The Role
Our Operatives are (quite literally) the bread and butter of Geary s. You re responsible for ensuring the delicious bread we produce, and package is of the best possible quality, that adds a spark of joy to people s daily lives. Your main responsibilities include:
Manually folding packaging Manually labelling product Checking paperwork Packing product into baskets and manually stacking Operating machinery (i.e., bagging units) on lines Following Good Manufacturing Practice to keep Finishing area tidy and safe Quality control following SOPs to ensure product meets our quality standards Meeting all Health and Safety responsibilities Supporting Production, Loading and Hygiene departments when necessary You will be moving around a busy bakery, carrying out manual and non-manual tasks, which may be physically demanding at times.
The role is based on a 5/7 or 4/7 working pattern. As we are operational 24/7, this may include working weekends. Our day shift work from 7am to 7pm, and night shift from 7pm to 7am.
