The salary for this position is GBP22,475 per annum based on a 36-hour working week, pro-rata if worked part-time.

This contract will commence in March 2024 and will run for 8-months with three to five day per week contract options.

Our centres are located at:

High Ashurst, Mickleham, Dorking, Surrey, RH5 6DQHenley Fort and Angel Blue, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 4RHThames Young Mariners, Ham near Kingston, Surrey, TW10 7RX Staff will have a main local base of work and there will be a requirement to work across other centres at times.

Our Outdoor Learning Instructor (Academy) role is perfect for individuals new to the outdoor learning industry. We're looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, is able to build rapport and empathise with others and be confident to lead groups in an outdoor setting. In return we will provide an excellent training package and support, which will grow and develop skills, knowledge and tools in this role.

As part of our delivery team, our Academy staff will be quickly delivering quality sessions in a number of outdoor activities with the opportunity to obtain a nationally recognised qualification. Qualifications could be ERCA (Ropes course qualification) or British Canoeing Paddlesport Instructor, depending on local base of work, along with a 2-day Rescue Emergency Care first aid course.
