Beautiful vintage syrian Oud by Said Akkash , Damascus

not sure of age - but around mid 1970s - all original parts

Sounds loud and sweet ( could use new strings )

string length 58.5cm

body 37cm wide - 49 cm long - 17cm deep

bone nut

spruce top with genuine mother of pearl and hardwood inlays

the back is ribs of beech and walnut with bone inlays

neck / pegbox is beech

pegs ( nahat style ) and shams/shamsiya are rosewood/palisander

fingerboard is macassar ebony

action at body /neck joint is 4mm
