This telescope is in good working condition, whilst there are small blemishes on the object lens, these are not noticeable in use and it is otherwise very clean internally and gives a clear image. The focusing wheel works very well allowing for fine focus adjustment.
As is so often the case with used telescopes, the rubber (replaceable) eyepiece is split part way round but does not prevent use of the scope. This is shown in one of the photos. Another photo shows a small chip in the rubber coating of the scope near the tripod mounting bracket. These imperfections reflect the low price have I have set.
The Optolyth TBS80 with 30x eyepiece has long been a favourite german made telescope most often used for birdwatching. The 80mm object lens giving a greater field of view and allows for a much brighter image compared to the TBS60.
