This optician are one of the most recognisable opticians in the UK being established for over 80 years with nearly 200 practices and still growing. They are now looking for an Optical Practice Manager to join one of their busy practices in central Birmingham. You will be working with a small team and you will be expected to provide excellent customer service while working towards targets and offering any support to fellow colleagues.

Working in a busy flagship practice - 3 test rooms, 5-day testing

Salary of up to GBP25,000

A Managerial Bonus Scheme (Approx GBP4k per annum).

Hours are 9am to 5:30pm to include Saturday

You will be working with a small team and you will be expected to manage the team, work towards targets and offer any support to fellow colleagues while also still being heavily involved with the dispensing and day to day running of the practice.

You will also have support from the shopfloor staff in practice.

Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager

You will work within a busy practice in an all-around role. You will be helping patients with all their eye and hearing care needs, including contact lenses, designer frames, NHS eye care and hearing health checks. You will be dispensing spectacles and making sales as well as undertaking pre-screening, contact lens teaches and associated admin work.

You will be working in a small team and be able to support and motivate the team working towards targets and KPI's.

Requirements for the Optical Practice Manager

What is most important for this role is the level of management experience; the right person will have ideally had previous retail management experience before coming to the world of optics and will be comfortable with managing a team, increasing KPI's and driving a business

You will need a minimum of 2 years experience within optics.

It is essential you can dispense spectacles to all levels as will be a very hands-on role.

Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager

On offer for the right person is a competitive salary of up to GBP25,000

A Managerial Bonus Scheme is also included (Approx GBP4k per annum)

Working hours are 5 days per week 8:30am to 5pm to include Saturdays

You will have 28 days holiday.
