Summary:
Our client, a leader within the field of renewable energy is seeking to add an Operations Performance Manager to lead an already successful and functioning Operations Performance team.
You will be at the helm of a vital business function, in control of monitoring the real time performance of a large UK wide power generation portfolio. With over 200 field–based team members and circa 20 direct reports, you will be responsible for continual optimisation of their processes, using operational analysis to examine and review data to make operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strong and stable leadership to the Operations Performance team.Ensure that the performance of all generation assets is effectively monitored and that responses to health and safety incidents, environmental incidents, unplanned outages or reductions in performance are correctly managed.Ensure that the strategic and detailed plans for the scheduling of field–based engineers are in place to optimise asset performance and minimise downtime.Produce and present high quality operational reports to communicate performance and highlight areas for improvement.Evaluate, develop, and improve operational systems throughout your department.Manage the performance of renewable energy assets by ensuring contractual performance targets are met by O&M providers.Assist with budget preparation and management for development of accurate forecasts.Implement and deliver improvement projects within the Operations Performance team. Possess proven experience leading and developing high performing teams and individuals.You are problem solver and innovative thinker who can make concise decisions backed by analytics data.You are an excellent communicator, capable of bringing colleagues on board with strategic initiatives and measures.You have experience managing remote teams or a field–based workforce.You possess extensive data analysis experience and the ability to extract data using SQL.You have excellent experience and understanding of how to use and optimise asset management systems for the management of field based operational staff.Used to reporting at a senior level and possessing a thorough approach to metrics and performance management.
