Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Birmingham

Salary: GBP53,000 – GBP63,000 (depending on experience)

Summary of Position:

Our client, a cleaning supplies company, is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing all business operational processes and factory production to ensure customer fulfilment is on time and within budget.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Assist and support the development of the company's strategic plan.Create an annual Operations Plan and associated 90–day sprints.Manage factory processes, housekeeping, and equipment.Assess HR requirements and prepare and conduct interviews.Health and safety compliance.Coordinate MRP IT, review software and implement improvements.Manage Procurement and Purchasing.Responsible for site security and physical stock integrity.Manage third–party logistics.Manage order processing through daily reporting.Manage the Machine Service Department.Undertake root–cause analysis to improve processes.Review monthly financials and investigate variations.Purchase of machinery and equipment.Carry out annual appraisals for all operational reports.Manager staff absence and disciplinary procedures. Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes:

5 years of experience in 'Final Assembly' production line environment.Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma implementation experience.3+ years of managerial experience in a similar role and similar size organisation (25–125 employees).Experience in implementing cost reduction and efficiency improvements.Familiarity and proficient use of manufacturing planning MRP systems.Understanding of legislation and certification standards including CE.Great leadership and interpersonal skills.Ability to problem solve with attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication.Great IT skills, including Microsoft and ERP.Excellent time management, organisational and project management.Ability to understand financial implications of procedure changes.Valid UK Driving License.Ideally possesses NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
