They are searching for an Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing all business operational processes and factory production to ensure customer fulfilment is on time and within budget.Operations ManagerPermanentUp to GBP50,00008.00 - 17.00pm (Mon-Thurs) 08.00am - 16.00pm (Friday) BirminghamOperations ManagerJob Description Assist and support development of company Strategic Plan.Create annual Operations Plan with associated 90-day sprints & review monthly financials and investigate variations.Manage factory processes, housekeeping, equipment & Health and safety compliance.Assess HR requirements, prepare & conduct interviews, manage staff absence, disciplinary procedures & Coordinate MRP IT, review software, implement improvements.Manage Procurement. Purchasing & Purchase of machinery and equipment.Responsible for site security, physical stock integrity & Manage order processing through daily reporting.Manage third party logistics & manage the Machine Service Department.Undertake root-cause analysis to improve processes & carry out annual appraisals for all operational reports. Operations ManagerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications IT Skills across a range of disciplines including Microsoft and ERP.Ability to understand financial implications of procedure changes.Experience in 'Final Assembly' production line environment & Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma implementation.Managerial experience in a similar role and similar size organisation (25-125emp).Experience in implementing cost reduction and efficiency improvements.Familiarity and proficient use of manufacturing planning MRP systems.Understanding of legislation and certification standards including CE.
