The permanent Finance Manager role in Cambridgeshire is a hybrid role.

The Finance Manager in Cambridgeshire will need to have a proven track record in manufacturing with experience around inventory, stock, costing and materials.

Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. This position comes with a lot of autonomy as you will be solely responsible for one of their two sites, working closely with the finance team whilst reporting to the Finance Director. You will be involved in a lot of the decision making as well as business partnering across the wider business.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Preparation of weekly and monthly management information packs

Driving gross margin improvements

Analyse current performance vs plan and future opportunities

Ownership of their end-to-end stock control processes

Work closely with their operations and supply chain teams to ensure that they have complete oversight of stock movements and an accurate view of balances through their stock management system

Establish robust standard costing frameworks and embed these within our clients wider processes

Produce overhead and energy absorption calculations based on the manufacturing performance for the month

Person Specification

Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA OR ACCA)

Ideally 3+ years Manufacturing experience

Ability and confidence to make decisions, challenge others and business partner with the wider team

Stakeholder management skills and experience

Strong excel skills

Works well under pressure and in a fast paced environment

Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

Excellent attention to detail
