You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP63,550 per annum subject to skills and experience.
The Network Projects Lead role:
The Networks Project Lead is part of the Networks team, playing an important role in managing multiple high profile projects as part of a network transformation programme.

Understand the scientific context and determine the detailed service requirements of the institute in line with our ITO strategy and work alongside the architecture team to realise this goal Understand the cyber security implications for Crick services, culture, forces, procedures and operations. Take proportionate steps to minimise risk to the Institute and deliver minimal friction to science and operations Manage a significant programme of works spanning multiple years, projects and with a multi-million-pound budget Drive the procurement process, in line with procurement policy, and manage the installation of equipment and services as required Work with other teams, third-party service partners and suppliers to deliver effective services, projects and daily operations as required Ensure the availability and accuracy of the network monitoring system and associated telemetry data and use this to inform decisions and affect change where required Establish and maintain a close relationship with the Facilities & Infrastructure teams to accommodate physical changes to the building as required and to develop, support and maintain the infrastructure needed to support critical Operational Technology services Ensure that appropriate training plans are included in the projects for the team to ensure they have the skills and experience required to support the new network Move reliable routine tasks closer to the end user and avoid manual configuration of devices where necessary Provide regular and timely reports as agreed to the Head of Networks and Head of Service Design, Business Analysis and Projects and undertake activities as requested Ensure all critical infrastructure has established and tested resilience plans to provide the highest levels of service and reliability for daily operations Skills and experience we are looking for in our Network Projects Lead:
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience Experience in networking or equivalent industry experience Demonstrable experience delivering large infrastructure refresh projects as a technical project manager Experience developing, delivering and supporting networks in a complex large scale environment Extensive and demonstrable technical knowledge and understanding of networking and the associated infrastructure, networked protocols and Network Access Control A demonstrable track record of implementing, maintaining, and resolving problems relating to operating and network systems, and applications Experience of effectively maintaining and developing project documentation Previous experience of maintaining an awareness of, and successfully implementing, emerging network technologies Demonstrable experience in all aspects of the IT Project Management lifecycle, such as change management and reporting on multiple projects from inception through to BAU transition A demonstrable ability to balance multiple priorities and operate comfortably in an environment that is developing and changing rapidly both in terms of staffing and scope of work Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of building effective working relationships at all levels If you feel you have the skills and experience to become our Network Projects Lead, please click apply today, we d love to hear from you!
