As a Net Zero Consultant at Ricardo, you will assume a key role in the development of strategies aimed at helping our clients measure, manage and reduce their carbon emissions. This role encompasses providing technical expertise, conducting data analysis and evaluating technical solutions. Increasingly, and with our coaching and mentoring, you will be taking the management of tasks that you are involved in delivering. We d love to hear from you if you have the following competencies and experience: A Bachelors (2.1 or above) or Masters, in sustainability or finance related subject. Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following areas - net zero strategy development, energy and carbon management planning, energy data analysis, scope 3 analysis, carbon footprinting and energy auditing. Relevant experience in net zero initiative gained within consultancy, government, research or industry. Knowledge of net zero and climate change policies and strategies. Knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting methodologies and familiarity with sustainability frameworks (e.g. Science-Based Targets). Proven ability to effectively manage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders. As a net zero consultant you need to have the following skills and behaviours: Exceptional data handling and analytical skills with ability to identify, develop and implement solutions. Excellent writing skills to communicate clearly and without errors accuracy and attention to detail are vital. Effective communication skills. Team working and ability to coordinate and prioritise activities to ensure delivery of agreed deliverables. Excellent IT skills especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Self-reliant and proactive with good problem-solving skills. A flexible approach able to see where help is needed and support colleagues as necessary.
