The National Account Manager role:
We have a world beating, homegrown range of innovative UK produced and designed products. We ve embraced social media through our influencer partnerships and have over 300k followers on Instagram more than our major competitors combined. Not satisfied to rest on our laurels we have expanded into complementary Kitchen and Bathroom categories and have seen exceptional demand for our design led approach.
This is where you come in. We are looking for an experienced National Account Manager to drive both existing and new business across major UK retail outlets. The right candidate will work with the wide resource available to identify and maximise growth opportunities and actively win and develop business. You will be already selling into major UK retailers, both in the traditional and discount sector.
Predominantly based at our Rochdale Head Office, this full time role will involve visiting customers with the ability to work from home 1 or 2 days a week depending on workload.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Delivering forecast customer volume, net sales, and margin for the relevant Customers
+ Proactively growing sales through identifying opportunities and selling new products and ranges
+ Continual evaluation of customer product mix to drive improved profitability incorporating initiatives such cost of product recommendations and domestic v Direct import sales
+ Managing product cost prices to maximise contribution including the implementation of cost increases when required
+ Developing and managing of customer joint business plans where relevant, ensuring that these are aligned to business priorities
+ Taking the lead with buyers to secure the optimum distribution level & fixture space for all supplied products (focusing specifically on the biggest & most profitable skus)
+ Managing customer relationships across multiple departments (commercial, technical, product development) to optimise results in a complex matrix structure
+ Ensuring a level of forecast accuracy that supports delivery of excellent Customer Service Levels & stock targets and informs the businesses financial planning cycle
About You:
+ Experience of managing major retailers and having the ability to network with all departments
+ Strong trading experience and capable of spotting new opportunities
+ Excellent sales, negotiation, planning and organisational skills
+ Business acumen and commercial awareness
+ Strong IT and numeracy skills with the ability to manage, process and upload large volumes of data
+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
+ Excellent verbal and written communication
+ Excellent relationship builder
+ A sound understanding of financial P&L is important along with experience in forecasting both seasonal and everyday products
