National Account Manager - Trade London, E16 Office and field based Full Time GBP30,000 p.a. + uncapped commission realistic OTE GBP55,000 The salary will be reviewed once the probation scheme ends (6 months)

This is an unmissable opportunity to join our client as an energetic and entrepreneurial National Account Manager!

Our client is a multi-award winning and highly successful consumer brand portfolio company that is at a very exciting time in terms of their evolution. Their products are recognised and valued in the UK and multiple key international markets.

In the last 6 years, the company have become a strong player in the industry, but they have barely gotten started! The team are excited about the future, so if you d like to come and help them build it, read on!

Your focus will be to win and develop business within the UK with a focus on Greater London. Your target customer base will be the wholesalers, exporters and importers, retailers, small and medium-sized on-trade operators etc in the capital. You will set up relationships and help grow the business and the Alcohol category with them.

You will need a keen eye for opportunities and the skills to unlock them through relationship building and commercial awareness.

Are you the right person for the job?

Demonstrative experience in quality Account Management within the wine and spirits industry, including selling new products or range extensionsExperience in new business development within the On-Trade and Wholesale and/or Retail sector desirableExperience and knowledge of the designated region, and the key alcohol players within itAn Enviable network of existing relationships with key decision-makers within the trade sector and a natural ability to develop relationships with peopleStrong working knowledge of UK wine & spirits business - brands, venues, trends, innovationStrong product knowledge spanning all categories of spirits, preferably along with an understanding of the wine & spirits categoryDemonstrative skills in commercial investment builds and management, including an understanding of spend vs costs and overall contributionsStrong numeracy, language, and negotiation skillsGood IT competency, including Microsoft Office 365 apps along with the ability to produce engaging presentationsEducated to A level standard or equivalentWine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Qualification at a Higher Level would be desirable, as would degree-level educationThis role is office & field-based and will require regional travel and some national travel; a full UK driving licence is therefore requiredCuration of cocktail lists and skills in trade marketing would be hugely valuableExperience in working the other side of the bar would be useful, as well as working in an off-trade retail setting, specifically in the wine & spirits category What will your role look like?

Identifying and developing the best new account opportunities within the London On-Trade and off-trade

Driving the distribution and development of the full range of Tails Alcohol productsBuilding partnerships with our trade customers to grow the category through Brand activation and menu development ideas

Drive distribution, visibility, and rate of sale of our core brands, subsequently leveraging these listings to further establish distribution of the wider brand portfolioLiaise with the appropriate external RTM Sales Managers to work collaboratively, unearthing new opportunities to support existing distribution, and land new distribution, with a clear and robust ROS plan applied

Partner with our 3rd party brands on activations and brand building, within the relevant area and prestige client/partner base (for example 5-star hotels, high-end cocktail bars and restaurants) and specific wholesalersManaging P&L, forecasting and internal accruals for your account base What can you expect in return?
