Mobility Equipment Engineer/ Delivery Driver

We are looking for a part time engineer/delivery driver to join our team.

The role will include Servicing, Testing, Diagnose & Repair of mobility products such as scooters, wheelchairs, rise/recline chairs etc and developing knowledge across the whole range will also be included within the role. This will involve collecting in customer items, bringing to our workshop and carrying out the work then delivering back to the customer once job is complete. The role also includes deliveries of items, some larger items which would be working alongside another delivery driver. Jobs will be throughout Greater Glasgow & surrounding areas.

The Main Duties of this role include;

Carry out service, maintenance and repairs on a variety of general mobility equipment which may include scooters, wheelchairs, rise/recline chairs etc Diagnosis and identification of faults & implementation of appropriate remedial action Carrying out services and safety examinations based on an established series of standards / manufacturer requirements Sourcing of relevant part numbers and parts for repairs To provide accurate quotations / estimates etc for work as required Upkeep of van stock as required Liaison with with colleagues to ensure completion of more complex repairs in a timely and efficient manner Maximise additional business opportunities when these arise developing product knowledge across the range supplied by the company and using that knowledge to support the above processes and promote further business To participate in covering shop floor when required (following suitable training and familiarisation)
