Mobile Library Driver

We are looking for Motivated individuals to join one of the largest authorities serving over 1,300 square miles.

Accountabilities:

To welcome library users and help to deliver a quality service, working at the base or other appropriate Library as requiredSupport all stock circulation procedures including: issue and discharge of loanable items, membership routines, reservation procedures, stock maintenance, overdue procedures.To deliver books and equipment as required.To comply with the individual responsibilities for Health Safety & Welfare in the workplace, including ensuring safeguarding children, in accordance with work role.Driving and supervision of mobile library services. key Person Specification

Current HGV class 2 driving licence and able to drive a 12-ton vehicleExperience of driving large vehicles and carrying out routine vehicle checksAt least 21 years old (for insurance purposes)Experience working with customers from a broad and diverse range of backgrounds; Able to deliver quality customer service. Desirable is an understanding of working with elderly peopleKnowledge of Health and Safety procedures and processes.Knowledge of Data Protection (GDPR) and Freedom of Information legislation.
